HGV Technician Role

Alecto Recruitment is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our client's team in the Reading area.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on HGVs.
Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues.
Participate in a team committed to excellence and further your skills through our Multi-Manufacturer Training Program.

Working Hours:
40 hours per week, on a rotating early-late shift:

Early:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Late:
Monday to Friday, 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm

Late Shift Payment:
£25 per night (up to £3,000 annually).
Overtime: 5x the basic hourly rate.

On-call Roadside Assistance:
Standby rates of £25 per night + overtime at 1.5x after 40 hours, and Double Time on bank holidays.

Requirements:
Relevant qualification or proven technical experience in HGV maintenance and repair.
Level 3 Qualification in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
HGV/LGV/PCV Licence.
Roadside Assistance Training.
IRTEC Accreditation (training is available if needed).
Experience with bus or coach repairs.

Up to £6,000 annually, paid monthly based on performance.
