Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join our team. As a key member of our workshop, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our fleet of 50+ commercial vehicles (7.5 and 18 tonne).

About the Role
  • Vehicle Inspections to DVSA and FTA standards
  • Fault finding, repairs & servicing of commercial vehicles and trailers
  • MOT preparation to DVSA standards
  • Vehicle servicing to vehicle manufacturing standards
  • Completion of all relevant paperwork ensuring that all work undertaken is compliant
  • Use of diagnostic equipment
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines
Requirements
  • A fully skilled HGV Technician with industry recognised qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ Level Three) in heavy vehicle service, maintenance and repair
  • 2 years' experience as an HGV Mechanic (Post Qualification)
  • A high level of communication
  • Basic knowledge of computers and fleet diagnostics
  • Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
  • The right to work in the UK
  • Brake experience (training can be given)
  • MOT preparation experience
  • Modern mechanical and electrical diagnostics and fault-finding
  • Accurate and timely defect reporting
