About the Role:

A Product Design Engineer is required by a leading consumer product manufacturer in Somerset to work on the development and launch of exciting new products.

This is a great opportunity for a creative and collaborative individual to join a dynamic team and contribute to the design and development of innovative products.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in taking projects from concept to delivery and will be experienced in working with cross-functional teams to bring products to market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new products from concept to delivery
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to bring products to market
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of components
  • Conduct stress analysis and ensure products meet safety and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain 3D CAD designs using Solidworks

Requirements:

  • 2 years minimum experience in an engineering design environment
  • Injection moulding experience
  • Experienced in the full project lifecycle
  • 3D CAD design skills: Solidworks preferred
  • Sheet metal manufacturing experience

Bonus if:

  • Experience with stress analysis
  • Experience interacting with outside suppliers
