Austin Fraser is seeking an experienced Railway Planning Specialist to join their team.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to work on railway projects, utilizing their expertise in possession planning and coordination.

The ideal candidate will have a background in lead possession planning or access planning, with experience in managing a team in a rail minor works environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with project management teams on access planning matters
  • Work with construction and estimating teams to identify possessions
  • Ensure possession requests are submitted in line with Network Rail timescales
  • Plan possession/protection arrangements
  • Monitor and record possession planning changes
Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess:

  1. Previous experience as a Lead Possession Planner or Access Planner, leading a team in a rail minor works environment
  2. Team management experience
  3. PPS planning access experience
  4. SSOW planning qualification Core Level 2
  5. PTS
  6. Good understanding of the Network Rail Rule Book and ability to interpret Sectional Appendices, Hazard Directory, and Environmental Assessments
  7. Holder of a full British Driving License
