Job Title: Apprentice Maintenance Engineering

Find Apprenticeships is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Wellington, District of Telford and Wrekin. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing breakdown cover on automated fast-moving equipment and servicing and repairing production equipment in line with FMCG policies and safe working procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Continuous improvement of equipment to optimize production efficiency
  • Day-to-day attention to Electrical/Mechanical breakdowns and changeovers
  • Root cause analysis of production problems and implementation of preventive measures
  • Electrical fault-finding and repair
  • Safe installation of machinery and control panels
  • Total hours and work pattern: Days Monday-Friday
Requirements:
  • Experience within a manufacturing or production industry essential
  • Experience with conveyors essential
  • A team player with plenty of ideas and enthusiasm and able to work under pressure
  • Open-mindedness to learn new techniques & technology
  • Electrical or Mechanical ability essential
  • Formal qualifications to NVQ, C&G or ONC
  • Time served Electrical apprenticeship advantageous
