Job Title: Apprentice Maintenance Engineering

Find Apprenticeships is seeking a skilled and motivated Apprentice Maintenance Engineering to join our team in Wellington, District of Telford and Wrekin.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic individual to work as an Apprentice Maintenance Engineering in our plant. As an Apprentice Maintenance Engineering, you will be responsible for providing breakdown cover on automated fast-moving equipment, as well as the service and repair of production equipment in line with FMCG policies and safe working procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Continuous improvement of equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Day-to-day attention to Electrical/Mechanical breakdowns and changeovers to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Identify and resolve production problems, implementing measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Electrical fault-finding and repair to ensure equipment is functioning correctly.
  • Safe installation of machinery and control panels to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Total hours and work pattern: Days Monday-Friday.
Requirements:
  • Experience within a manufacturing or production industry is essential.
  • Experience with conveyors is a must.
  • A team player with a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Open-mindedness to learn new techniques and technology.
  • Electrical or Mechanical ability is essential.
  • Formal qualifications to NVQ, C&G or ONC are required.
  • Time served Electrical apprenticeship is advantageous.
