Building Surveying Graduate Opportunity

We are seeking a talented and ambitious Building Surveying Graduate to join our team in Manchester. As a Building Surveying Graduate, you will have the opportunity to work towards a professional qualification and gain valuable experience in the property industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site visits to complete Building Surveyor's inspections.
  • Carry out desktop survey research about sites.
  • Prepare reports following inspections to outline the state of the property/site.
  • Act as a Contract Administrator and Employer's Agent on fit-out and refurbishment contracts.
  • Negotiate schedules of dilapidations and prepare exit strategies for required repair work.
  • Assist with planning preventative maintenance plans.
  • Coordinate portfolio instructions and undertake other duties as required.
  • Stay up-to-date with building and sustainability standards, legal knowledge, and building pathology.

Requirements:

  • GCSEs – C / 4 grade or above in English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • Degree – Bachelor's or Master's degree in Building Surveying accredited by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
  • An interest in the property industry and its future.
  • Confident communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Project management skills to ensure work is completed on time.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • A curious mindset to learn and grow with us.

Location: Manchester

Estimated compensation for this position is: £28,000
