About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Finance Director to join our expert team at DEEP, a pioneering organization driving progress at the forefront of deep-sea innovation and discovery.

As a strategic finance leader, you will play a critical role in shaping our financial operations, ensuring robust management, strategic forecasting, and high-quality reporting. You will be a key member of our leadership team, driving business growth by streamlining processes, building a lean finance team, and enhancing decision-making through close business partnering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Leadership & Oversight: Take full ownership of our financial position, ensuring high visibility and control, and lead management accounting, board reporting, and provide ongoing narrative analysis to support strategic decisions.
  • Business Integration & Partnership: Act as a strategic business partner, aligning with operational teams to gain a deep understanding of projects, revenue streams, and operational challenges.
  • Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting: Oversee all forecasting, budgeting, and financial modelling efforts to ensure accuracy and support company growth, and ensure the timely and accurate completion of all statutory, regulatory, and management reports for Group reporting.
  • Team Management & Process Optimisation: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering an inclusive, dynamic, and supportive environment, and critically review and enhance financial processes, aligning them with group standards and driving operational efficiency.
  • Compliance & Year-End Process: Provide leadership during the year-end and interim processes, ensuring strict adherence to deadlines and compliance with regulatory requirements, whilst maintaining robust review and control procedures across all financial activities.
What We Offer

We offer a highly competitive £120,000 - £150,000 per annum, plus benefits, including a performance-related bonus scheme, 25 days annual leave, private healthcare, nutritious meals, cycle scheme, and monthly & quarterly social events.
