Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Functional Safety Engineer to join our team at Imagination Technologies. The successful candidate will have a strong background in safety-orientated analysis, safety requirements, safety architectures, and safety case development.
About the Role
You will be responsible for supporting the functional safety architect, conducting hardware safety-oriented analysis, working with defined Safety Plans and associated corporate safety development processes and PLM framework. You will also conduct and document safety orientated analysis, derive and document safety requirements, and support the management and definition of the Hardware-Software Interface (HSI).
Your Responsibilities
- Support the functional safety architect in developing safety architectures and safety cases.
- Conduct hardware safety-oriented analysis in accordance with ISO 26262.
- Work with currently defined Safety Plans and associated corporate safety development processes and PLM framework.
- Document the scope, synopsis, and content of the Safety Case and Safety Manual.
- Support the development of the strategy and plan to maintain functional safety management system process certification.
- Conduct adjacent functional safety sector reviews and document findings/recommendations.
- Support the development of, and executing safety plans for new product development.
Your Qualifications
- Degree and/or PhD qualified in Computer Engineering or Computer Science, or very similar discipline.
- Hands-on computer engineering experience.
- Basics of reliability and safety engineering concepts understood.
- Ideally, candidate will have the ability and experience in conducting safety-oriented analysis, specifically, FMEA, FTA, DFA and FMEDA.
- Hands-on FMEDA development and analysis experience, including experience with relevant tools.
- Understanding of Systems Engineering concepts.
- Understanding of the application of Requirements Engineering.
