We are seeking an experienced and skilled Pharmacist to join our team in Belfast, Northern Ireland. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated healthcare professional to work in a clinical setting and make a real difference in the lives of patients.

Job Summary:

  • Promote optimal patient care through effective medication management and communication with healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in the dispensary or wards, including clinical and accuracy checking of prescriptions and dispensed medicines.
  • Review and assess inpatient and outpatient prescriptions for legality, accuracy, safety, and appropriateness of drug therapy.
  • Liaise with relevant clinical pharmacists on patient care issues and communicate recommendations on drug therapy to doctors, nurses, and other relevant healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure all work completed complies with Medicines Ethics and Practice, local policies and procedures, risk management, and health and safety policies and protocols.

About the Role:

  • This is a full-time position based in Belfast, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of clinical pharmacy practice and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • We offer a competitive salary of £37,350 (Band 6) per annum, plus holiday pay, pension, and discount benefits, or £43,742 (Band 7) per annum for candidates with previous clinical experience.

Requirements:

  • MPharm qualification essential.
  • Member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland (PSNI) or eligible for membership (foundation year completed).
  • Right to Work in the UK/Northern Ireland required.
