We are seeking a skilled Interventional Cardiologist to join our team as a Locum Consultant. The successful candidate will have expertise in structural intervention, particularly TAVI, and be an independent first operator.
Main Duties- Perform outpatient clinics independently and run catheter lab coronary intervention lists.
- Participate in the Consultant-of-the-week and on-call rota.
- Provide support to the service as required, including close collaboration with Clinical Nurse Specialists.
The postholder will be responsible for providing a service for TAVI and coronary patients, including all aspects of interventional treatment and relevant management duties. They will also contribute to departmental research interests and participate in the Audit Programme.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Achieved Grade: CCT or equivalent.
- Specialist training in coronary intervention – independent coronary operator status.
- Significant exposure to and experience in TAVI.
- First operator TAVI ability.
The estimated salary for this position is £105,504 - £139,882 per annum, excl. London Zone. King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust offers a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, health insurance, and career development opportunities.
