Technical Events Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Events Engineer to join our team at Sky Production Services. As a Technical Events Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting our OBs and events, ensuring the smooth delivery of our content to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Attend outside broadcasts and events in a support capacity, providing technical expertise and assistance as needed.
- Liaise with outside broadcast facility companies to integrate Sky equipment and ensure seamless technical delivery.
- Generate documentation for support processes, including Visio diagrams and technical guides.
- Perform server OS and hardware maintenance, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our systems.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with the team to ensure the successful delivery of events and OBs.
- Monitor and analyze technical issues, identifying solutions and implementing improvements to our systems and processes.
- Provide timely and accurate reports on technical issues and future requirements to the team manager.
- Support MCR procedures and broadcast line-ups, ensuring the smooth delivery of our content.
- Assist production teams to produce high-quality content by ensuring the availability of IT resources and technical support.
- Highly motivated and committed to continuous self-improvement.
- Positive and resilient, with a strong work ethic and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- In-depth knowledge of broadcast systems, IP, graphics, and AR/VR technologies.
- Experience in providing successful technical solutions and documentation.
- Knowledge of video and audio routing using current broadcast standards and experience in technical problem-solving.
- Windows 10 installation and administration, PowerShell, and VB scripting skills, with a strong understanding of networking and IT problem-solving.
- Excellent client-facing skills and ability to work effectively with clients and stakeholders.
