Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Educational Assistant to work in a supportive and dynamic team at a primary school in Cardiff. As a Learning Support Assistant with Special Needs Expertise, you will provide individualized support to a child with additional learning needs, promoting their social, emotional, and academic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement strategies to support the child's learning and development, focusing on manual handling requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure consistency in supporting the child's needs.
  • Monitor and record progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing targeted interventions.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Previous experience working with children with special needs, preferably in a primary school setting.
  • A Level 2 (or above) Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools qualification or similar.
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding and Prevent training issued in the last year.

Benefits:

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of £26,000 - £31,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for career advancement and professional development.
