Heavy Duty Truck Technician

TXM Recruit is seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Truck Technician to join our client's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of HGVs.
Job OverviewThis role offers the opportunity to work with various components such as body panels, engines, and larger components. Our client is looking for candidates who are skilled in inspection and diagnostics, maintenance and repairs, electrical and fault-finding work, compliance and safety, and record-keeping.
A technical qualification or proven experience of repairing and maintaining vehicles is essential. Possession of LCV/HGV Technical/Mechanical Engineer qualifications, 2 or 3 NVQ levels, IMI Level, or City & Guilds is required.
Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and complex repairs on engines, brakes, transmissions, and suspensions.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, wiring, and control modules to resolve issues.
- Ensure all work complies with legal standards and conduct necessary safety checks.
- Document all inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks for compliance.
We offer a competitive hourly rate with shift allowance, overtime at 1.5x your hourly salary, and in-house training to ensure you have the knowledge needed for the specific HGVs.
