About the Role

Culina Group is seeking a Truck Technician Apprentice to support our continued growth and expansion. As an apprentice, you will prepare commercial vehicles for MOT, perform daily and routine maintenance, and repairs on HGV trucks and trailers under the guidance of experienced technicians.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the workshop, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  2. Carry out commercial vehicle maintenance activities, including company vehicles, trailers, and external customer maintenance tasks.
  3. Work towards conducting vehicle services and inspections independently, once trained and qualified.
  4. Prepare commercial vehicles, trailers, and other Motor Vehicles for MOT, ensuring compliance with DVSA regulations.
  5. Perform daily and routine maintenance and repairs on all makes and models of HGV trucks and trailers belonging to Culina Group.
  6. Ensure a safe work environment at all times, promoting a culture of safety within the workshop.
  7. Carry out tasks as directed by the Workshop Supervisor/Chargehand, following relevant training and guidelines.
  8. Complete additional tasks when requested, meeting completion deadlines within standard times.
  9. Adhere to a 'clean as you go' attitude, following the 7S system, and record labour time and parts fitted accurately.
  10. Acknowledge the importance of signing off documents, which is a legal requirement, ensuring accuracy and truthfulness.

Requirements:

  • GCSE English and Maths - Grade 4 or above required.
  • A qualification will be completed as part of the apprenticeship.
