About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Professional Assessor to join our team. As a Functional Assessor, you will be responsible for evaluating individuals and assessing how their disabilities or conditions impact their work life.

With your clinical expertise, you will conduct thorough examinations, gather medical history, and produce accurate reports for the Department of Work & Pensions (DWP). This role requires sensitivity, empathy, and the ability to ask insightful questions while adhering to best practice standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate individuals and assess how their disabilities or conditions affect their work life.
  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and gather medical history.
  • Produce concise and accurate reports for the DWP.
  • Meet with individuals face-to-face and via telephone/video, demonstrating compassion and understanding.
Requirements
  • Experience working with adults in various clinical situations.
  • Ongoing commitment to Continuous Professional Development.
  • Proficiency in IT skills and experience using multiple software applications.
  • Self-awareness and focus on professional growth.
  • Motivation to deliver high-quality customer service, showcasing empathy, respect, and sensitivity during assessments.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary: £37,500 - £43,000 per annum, plus a £2,000 bonus after one year and up to 10% ongoing bonus.
