About the Role

FAMILY FIRST FOSTERING is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Fostering Team Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality service is provided to all children and young people, foster carers, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure the organisation's compliance to relevant legislative frameworks by working closely with the management and administrative team to continually develop and improve the quality and efficiency of the overall organisation.
  • Decision Making and Risk Management: Work closely with the management team to ensure all decisions and actions taken are in the best interest of the children in our foster care placements and children's homes, to contribute to their best outcomes.
  • Service Delivery and Improvement: Drive compliance and improve service delivery by effectively monitoring the services offered by the organisation, and undertaking regular audits to ensure both quality and compliance standards are met and upheld.
  • Staff Management and Development: Manage the staff team effectively within company guidelines to ensure maximum individual effort, personal development, and team performance. Provide professional supervision and appraisal to Supervising Social Workers.
  • Quality Assurance and Training: Quality assure each assessment report for content, grammar, as well as statutory checks, references, interviews, and all other supporting documentation. Ensure high quality training is provided to staff, children, young people, and foster carers.
  • Partnership and Collaboration: Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and in partnership with families, local authorities, and external agencies, as required.
Requirements
  • Experience in Fostering Team Management
  • Knowledge of Social Work England requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
