We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced social worker to join our fostering team in Tameside. As a fostering social worker, you will play a crucial role in securing plans of permanency for Tameside children and contributing to the wider offer for our cared-for children.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with the cared-for children's team to achieve multi-agency working and secure plans of permanency for Tameside children
- Supervise foster carers, providing experience and knowledge in the Fostering Minimum Standards and The Fostering Regulation Services (England)
- Contribute to the development of a warm, safe, and nurturing foster placement environment
- Engage with carers and build robust relationships to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and families
- Qualified social worker with previous work experience and sound interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop positive relationships with children, young people, agencies, and other relevant professionals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional curiosity with a determination to raise standards and achieve improved outcomes for children and their families
