Qualified Social Worker

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Qualified Social Worker to join our team at Tameside Local Authority's Early Help Team.
About the Role:The successful candidate will provide oversight for Early Help referrals received through the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) and the Team Around the Setting (TAS). They will make decisions based on the Tameside Threshold of Need document and offer management oversight and case direction to Early Help Advisers, allocating cases as needed.
Responsibilities:- Support the leadership and management team
- Provide oversight for Early Help referrals
- Make decisions based on the Tameside Threshold of Need document
- Offer management oversight and case direction to Early Help Advisers
- Ensure decision-making supports positive outcomes for children, young people, and families
- Professionally challenge where required to ensure effective support is delivered
- Supervise Early Help Advisers and manage their caseloads
- Quality assure decisions made by Early Help Advisers in line with thresholds
- Identify trends, conduct audits, and collect data to enhance service development and training needs
- Work closely with partner agencies (schools, health, social care, police, voluntary sector)
- Support step up/step down processes with Targeted Family Help
- Social Work Degree or equivalent
- Social Work England registration
- Enhanced DBS
- Experience in Children's social work
