Job Description

Role Overview

The Southern Universities Network (SUN) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead the delivery of its outreach programme. As a key member of the SUN team, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and delivering outreach projects and programmes to increase the profile of the Uni Connect programme and promote access to higher education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage with targeted students, teachers, parents/carers, and advisers
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in schools and colleges to increase programme visibility
  • Deliver outreach projects and programmes that complement existing initiatives and promote access to higher education
  • Collaborate with the SUN central team to ensure alignment with programme objectives and targets
  • Monitor and evaluate programme impact and make recommendations for improvement

Requirements

  • Significant experience of working with young people and knowledge of the education sector
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Flexibility to travel and work outside of office hours, including occasional evenings and weekends
  • Full UK/EU driving licence

Working Arrangements

This role will be based at the Arts University Bournemouth, with regular travel to schools and colleges in the local region. The post-holder will be required to complete AUB-approved safeguarding training and comply with the University's safeguarding policies.
