About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate SEN Support Worker to join our team at SNAP Care. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting a bright and engaging 10-year-old boy with cerebral palsy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the child with all self-help skills, promoting independence and autonomy
  • Assist with school pick-ups and drop-offs, as well as accompanying the child to hydrotherapy sessions and after-school clubs
  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks, and assist with light household duties
  • Develop and implement creative and holistic approaches to enhance the child's developmental skills
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to the child, promoting a positive and nurturing environment
Requirements
  • Experience working with children with disabilities, preferably in a family home setting
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the child
  • Driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle (a WAV/adapted vehicle will be provided)
What We Offer
  • A competitive hourly rate of up to £19.00 gross per hour
  • A maximum of 37-hour contracts, with part-time and full-time applicants considered
