Salary and Benefits: This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary of £22,000-£25,000 per annum, plus study support for ACCA/ACA qualifications. You'll have the chance to develop your skills and knowledge in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Job Description: As a Graduate Trainee Accountant, you'll be responsible for supporting our clients' financial functions, including assisting in financial audits, preparing financial statements, and managing accounts payable and receivable. You'll also have the opportunity to work with chartered accountants and gain valuable experience in a practice setting.

Audit Responsibilities: Your duties will include assisting in the planning and execution of financial audits, conducting substantive testing and analytical review procedures, verifying the accuracy and completeness of financial statements, and collaborating with audit teams to ensure compliance with auditing standards.

Accounts Responsibilities:

  • You'll prepare financial statements for clients, including income statements and balance sheets, manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, perform bank reconciliation and ensure the accuracy of financial records, and handle general ledger entries and maintaining financial records.

Tax Responsibilities: You'll support the preparation and filing of tax returns for individuals and businesses, assist in tax planning and compliance activities, research tax regulations and stay updated on changes in tax laws, respond to client queries regarding tax matters, and collaborate with the tax team to ensure accurate and timely submissions.

Client Interaction: You'll build and maintain relationships with clients, communicate with clients to gather necessary financial information, guide accounting and tax-related matters, and provide exceptional customer service.

Compliance: You'll ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements, monitor changes in accounting and auditing standards, support the implementation of new accounting and tax regulations, and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

Requirements: A minimum of a 2:1 degree classification in a finance-related discipline (Accounting & Finance, Mathematics, Finance, Economics) and strong A Level results.
