Exciting Health and Safety Opportunity

ONLi Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Director to lead our Health and Safety initiatives. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing our Health and Safety strategy, driving excellence, and ensuring compliance in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop a comprehensive Health and Safety strategy for the company, focusing on continuous improvement and excellence.
  2. Provide expert advice to internal stakeholders on Health and Safety matters, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  3. Oversee and manage the Health and Safety performance of third-party contractors, ensuring compliance with legal obligations and company policies.
  4. Develop and implement processes for monitoring and controlling contractor performance, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees and stakeholders.
  5. Support colleagues in meeting Health and Safety requirements, both in office and remote working environments, through coaching and feedback.
Leadership Skills:
  1. Proactively engage colleagues to deliver Health and Safety compliance and drive continuous improvement, fostering a culture of excellence and safety.
  2. Act as an escalation point for Health and Safety issues, providing timely guidance and support to resolve complex problems.
  3. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain Health and Safety standards, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  4. Analyse performance metrics to inform areas of focus and drive timely action, ensuring continuous improvement and excellence in Health and Safety.
Qualifications and Experience:
  1. Minimum of 5 years' experience in senior Health and Safety management roles, preferably in a similar industry or sector.
  2. Relevant degree or professional qualification in Health and Safety, such as a Chartered Member of IOSH or equivalent.
  3. Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and risk management, with experience in managing third-party contractor performance.
  4. Evidence of continuous professional development, with a commitment to staying up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory changes.

  2. Commercial acumen, aligned with business strategy and objectives.
  3. Effective influencing and negotiation skills, with the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
  4. Ability to develop others through coaching and feedback, fostering a culture of excellence and safety within the organization.
Working Conditions:
  1. Flexible working arrangements, with a combination of home, office, and limited fieldwork.
