Job Summary
The Basilica of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception seeks a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sustainable Coordinator to oversee the operation and organization of the church's Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring timely ordering and receipt of food, beverages, equipment, and other necessary items.
- Oversee food preparation, portion sizes, and presentation to maintain high-quality standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Ensure employees adhere to health and food safety standards, investigating and resolving complaints regarding food quality or service.
- Schedule staff and volunteer hours, assigning duties and tasks as needed.
- Coordinate pickups and deliveries, verifying product quality and quantity.
Requirements
Candidates should possess excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A strong understanding of health and safety regulations, as well as experience in food service management, is essential.
Working Hours
This is a full-time non-exempt position with varying working hours, Monday through Friday.
