Senior Project Manager - Construction Expert

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team at Pick Everard. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage construction projects, including planning, coordination, and execution
  • Develop and implement project plans, including project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Coordinate and manage project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders
  • Monitor and control project progress, including tracking milestones, issues, and risks
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project team members

Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of construction processes and experience working in a similar role in the construction environment
  • Eligibility to obtain, or existing possession of SC level Security Clearance is required to fulfill the duties of this role (must be a British Passport holder)
  • Good knowledge of NEC contracts and experienced in administering NEC contracts
  • The ability to monitor progress and expenditure of projects through all of the RIBA stages
  • A clear understanding of risk management, including identification, management, mitigation, and risk transfer
  • Ability to lead, direct a team/experience within management

Desirable Qualifications

  • Member of a construction-related professional body, such as RICS, CIOB, CIBSE, etc.
  • HNC, HND, or a construction-related degree
  • Prince 2 (or APM) Foundation/Practitioner
  • Excellent bid writing and presentation skills
  • An understanding of BIM Technology
