Job Title: Academic Support Worker for Mixed KS2 Class
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Academic Support Worker to join our team at a fantastic Primary School in Cambridge. The successful candidate will provide academic support to a mixed KS2 class of year 3 and 4 pupils, some of whom require additional support and 1:1 work to keep them on target with their peers.
The school has a warm and friendly atmosphere, with a strong focus on the educational development of its pupils. The successful candidate will be expected to monitor and assess the progress of pupils, assist in their progression through learning, and offer general support and aid in the overall running of the class alongside the class teacher.
Requirements
- Approachable and professional attitude towards work
- De-escalation Training (Team Teach/Norfolk Steps)
- Prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant or EYFS Practitioner
- Ability to adapt well to any given situation/challenge
- Training in Safeguarding, Prevent, or any other relevant course
