Job Title: Technical Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Manager to join our team at Carbon60. As a Technical Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of technical services and maintaining excellence in Facilities Management.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the interpretation of RBI assessments, reports, and future RBI inspection plans, including logistics, personnel, training, and client management reporting.
  • Manage and take responsibility for compliant statutory systems relating to PSSR/LOLER delivery, including statutory inspections.
  • Attend and facilitate weekly, monthly, and quarterly PSSR/LOLER/RBI meetings with the client to update them on the status and planning for all inspections, faults, risks, and performance.
  • Implement and maintain PSSR/LOLER/RBI WSE certification.
  • Report on status and findings, and organize site preparation works with team leaders and RBI installation teams.
  • Proactively engage in capital projects and site minor works that add or modify elements of systems under your control.
  • Develop and introduce inspection instructions and related documents, such as SOPs, LSOPs, and RBI assessments and reports, that support statutory inspection and RBI compliance.
  • Review statutory compliance EAM work orders against inspection dates and identify assets, serial numbers, and other relevant information.
  • Approve work orders, permits to work, and IOR for replacement parts and third-party services as needed.
Requirements:
  • HNC level in mechanical, building services, or a related field.
  • In-depth technical and operational knowledge of PSSR/LOLER/RBI.
  • Experience of NDT and mechanical inspections encompassing PSSR/LOLER/RBI.
  • Insurance inspection procedure knowledge, including documentation requirements specifically for PSSR/LOLER.
  • Experience with inspection software systems.
  • Technical ability to analyze complex data, provide evidence-based recommendations, propose realistic and achievable plans, secure buy-in from stakeholders, and deliver on target.
  • Experience of safe working practices and permit to work systems.
  • Relevant safety qualifications, including IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.
  • Experience of successful improvement/change proposals and delivery.
