About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Holme Lacy House Hotel. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of food quality and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Lead a large team of chefs and kitchen staff, promoting a culture of support and teamwork.
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the expectations of our guests and the company's brand standards.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, orders, and forecasting to optimize food costs and minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a passion for creating innovative and delicious dishes.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Good financial knowledge and ability to manage kitchen costs effectively.
