Healthcare Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our Respiratory Service at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is enthusiastic about delivering high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, and demonstrate a problem-solving approach to their work.
Main Responsibilities- Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, providing support and reassurance to patients.
- Gain understanding and participate in decontamination processes of endoscopic equipment, adhering to infection control measures.
- Participate in moving and handling needs of patients, ensuring safety and dignity.
- Demonstrate competent IT skills to aid clinical documentation and patient management.
- Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and safe clinical environment, adhering to Infection Control Policies.
- Assist in maintaining adequate stock levels, supporting efficient service delivery.

- Completion of HCA training day, with a willingness to undertake further training and development opportunities.
- Proven ability to manage priorities under pressure, ensuring seamless service delivery.
- Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in clinical software systems.
