Leading Haematology Specialist in South East London

We are seeking an experienced Biomedical Scientist with expertise in Haematology and Blood Transfusion to join our team in a full-time position at a lab based in South East London. The ideal candidate should have experience working in a lab setting, with strong knowledge of haematological procedures and blood transfusion practices.
About the RoleThis is a Band 6 position that requires a high level of autonomy and independence. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various laboratory tests and procedures related to haematology and blood transfusion, as well as maintaining accurate records and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Performing haematological tests and procedures, including blood counts, coagulation studies, and haemoglobin electrophoresis
- Maintaining accurate records of test results and patient data
- Contributing to quality improvement initiatives and identifying areas for process improvement
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience working in a lab setting, preferably in haematology or blood transfusion
- Strong knowledge of haematological procedures and blood transfusion practices
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
