Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Haematologist to join our team as a consultant at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Woolwich. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a General Haematology service, including delivering comprehensive haemato-oncology, general haematology, and laboratory haematology services. They will also work closely with other consultants, junior doctors, nurses, and laboratory staff to ensure seamless delivery of care.

This is a fixed-term contract for 6 or 12 months, offering a unique chance to make a significant impact on our services while enjoying a stable work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a high-quality General Haematology service, including haemato-oncology and laboratory haematology services
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Participate in clinical governance activities to maintain high standards of practice
  • Contribute to teaching and training of junior doctors, medical students, and other healthcare professionals
Requirements
  • MBBS or equivalent qualification
  • MRCP or equivalent qualification
  • FRCPath or equivalent qualification
  • Full registration with the GMC and eligibility for specialist registration
  • Experience of all aspects of clinical and laboratory haematology, including haemoglobinopathies
