Job Title: Principal Civil, Structural and Architectural Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Principal Civil, Structural and Architectural Engineer to join our dynamic design team undertaking traditional, bespoke and innovative designs of reinforced concrete, steel and masonry structures for defence, nuclear decommissioning and nuclear new build projects.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise, and will take on the role of Technical Lead on specific projects when required. You will design to various normal and extreme loading scenarios, including seismic design, and will be responsible for the management of project delivery, as well as people management of Senior CS&A Engineers and CS&A Engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design of structures in reinforced concrete and steelwork
  • Analysis and Design using engineering software such as Tekla and Robot
  • Preparation of calculations, CDM activities, Basis of Design, Material Specifications, Scopes of Work, Technical reports, Inter discipline design coordination and supervision
  • Management of project delivery and people management of Senior CS&A Engineers and CS&A Engineers
Requirements
  • Significant experience in the design of structures in reinforced concrete and steelwork
  • Understanding of the relevant legal and regulatory standards
  • Previous experience within the nuclear industry and design for seismic loading is advantageous but not necessary
