Job Title: Chief Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to join our team at Raytheon UK. As a key member of our engineering leadership team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and direction to our APNT business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership and direction to the APNT business, ensuring that all technical aspects of the business are aligned with the company's overall strategy.
  • Develop and implement technical strategies and plans to ensure the successful delivery of APNT products and services.
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers and technical specialists to ensure that all technical aspects of the business are executed to the highest standard.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that technical requirements are met and that all stakeholders are informed and engaged.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, suppliers, and partners to ensure that technical requirements are met and that all stakeholders are informed and engaged.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field.
  • Significant breadth and depth of technical leadership experience, including systems, electronics, software, mechanical, reliability, and manufacturing engineering.
  • Strong technical background in the design, qualification, and certification of mission-critical equipment, including the application of relevant design assurance processes and military standards.
  • Knowledge of the APNT market, including customers, equipment suppliers, and key stakeholders.
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills, with a proven track record in skilful navigation of senior stakeholders across business and industry.
  • Strong engineering leadership skills, with a track record of delivering through others in a matrix organisation, a structured approach to problem-solving, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Holder of, or ability to achieve, SC Clearance.
  • On the path to achieving, or have already achieved, professional registration as a Chartered Engineer.
