Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Theatre Practitioner to focus on patient-centric care, participating in entire pathways from pre-admission, surgery, and post-operative management.

Main Responsibilities

  • Establish a compassionate environment by providing support to patients, friends, and families
  • Prepare clinical areas for clinical activities
  • Assist surgeons in delivering ophthalmic care
  • Admit and discharge patients
  • Participate in departmental audits
  • Proactively learn and have a passion to deliver quality care
  • Have effective listening, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Thrives in a team environment

Requirements

  • Previous ophthalmic theatre experience is required
  • Evidence of relevant professional development, clinically, preferably evidenced by certification RN with valid NMC Registration / ODP with valid HCPC Registration
  • Up-to-date knowledge in area of practice
  • Proficient in the use of a PC, including software and systems
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Passion for delivering first-rate patient safety and care

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional development and a supportive work environment.
