About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Development Engineer to join our client's innovative team in Hertfordshire/Essex. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge electronic solutions in a dynamic and growing sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with design engineers to ensure products meet technical specifications.
  • Create detailed test plans, procedures, and reports, while coordinating with external testing partners for EMC validation.
  • Design and automate production tests, as well as investigate warranty issues.
  • Perform electrical design verification tests, accounting for worst-case scenarios, stress calculations, temperature effects, and safety regulations.
  • Analyse electronic circuits to identify and resolve issues, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project completion.
  • Assist with PCB fabrication processes and utilise design software such as Altium Designer (or similar). Experience with C/C++, CAN bus systems, and reverse engineering is a plus.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years' post-graduate experience in an R&D environment.
  • Test development experience
  • Proficient in using electronic testing equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, signal generators) and familiar with EMC standards
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in electrical design verification testing and troubleshooting circuit designs.
  • Adaptable and flexible, capable of managing changing priorities and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field is essential.
