We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as an Archive Assistant. As a key member of our Digital Preservation Coalition, you will play a vital role in the care, management, and preservation of our archive collections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of our archives in line with best practice and recognised standards.
  • Advocate for and develop the digital preservation offer for our Special Collections, Heritage, and Archives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to increase the cultural impact and engagement of our special collections, heritage, and archives.
  • Ensure the digital and physical accessibility of our collections.

Requirements:

  • Recognised professional qualification in archives and records management.
  • Detailed knowledge and experience of archive metadata creation to recognised international standards.
  • Ability to advocate for and develop the digital preservation offer for SCHA.
