About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Engineer to join our team at Ramboll. As a Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for leading on Civil Engineering / Infrastructure design for projects led by this discipline or projects led by other departments where Ramboll's offering is multi-disciplinary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate project research, including site surveys and site inspections, to ensure accurate and comprehensive data.
  • Prepare bid and contract documentation, including fee forecasting and preparation, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Apply and promote policies relating to health and safety, quality, and training to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
  • Provide guidance, instruction, motivation, and management to assigned staff on the project, ensuring their competency and development.
  • Responsible for the competency assessment of staff involved in the project, ensuring they meet the required standards.
  • Ability to organize and conduct several activities simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Establish relationships with individuals from other organizations, generating market intelligence and new business opportunities.
  • Able to prepare single discipline bid documentation, in association with other disciplines, to ensure a comprehensive and competitive bid.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in Civil Engineering, preferably with a BEng/MEng (Hons) Degree and Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer, MICE. You should have a good working knowledge of AutoCAD and experience or knowledge of resourcing, progress measurement, earned value analysis, completion forecasting, and status reporting.

A confident and professional manner, coupled with excellent communication skills, is essential to ensure clarity in all situations and effectively influence clients and colleagues alike.
