Job Summary

External Reporting Manager

Group Shared Services Ltd is seeking a skilled External Reporting Manager to join our team. As an External Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out ad hoc transaction accounting, assisting in the preparation of quarterly and annual Group Statutory Financial statements, and preparing local GAAP statutory financial statement requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the team with technical expertise relating to transaction and project-based accounting.
  • Provide technical support on accounting matters, including supporting the Treasury team with the accounting for structured funding arrangements.
  • Assist with the management, coordination, and preparation of Group Statutory Financial Statements.
  • Coordinate Group and local year-end statutory audits and preparation of associated audit schedules.
  • Work with the agreed Auditors to plan and execute annual soft close in September.
  • Prepare Quarterly Financial Information for external reporting to Investors.
  • Co-Coordinate, timetable, and manage execution of Group external reporting requirements on a quarterly basis.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA) with proven post-qualification experience.
  • A background from within Financial Services would be advantageous.
  • Experience of preparing statutory accounts and the statutory audit process.
  • Financial services and IFRS 9 accounting experience.
  • Proven experience of collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver against tight deadlines with high-quality outputs.
  • Working knowledge of Tax (desirable).
  • Working knowledge of Secretarial requirements (desirable).
  • Expertise in International Accounting Standards.
