Transaction Assistant Job Description

Your new company, Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited, is working with a growing successful organisation based in Kidderminster who are after a Transaction Assistant to join their busy finance team.

Your New Role

Your new role will focus on the Purchase and Sales ledger, understanding the key accounts.

Purchase Ledger
  • Process all purchase invoices efficiently to meet month end deadlines.
  • Supplier Statement Reconciliations are completed.
  • Allocate supplier payments.
Sales Ledger
  • Responsibility for our largest customer across all Kidderminster brands.
  • Set up new customers.
  • Post and allocate customer cash.
General
  • Attendance and involvement in process improvement activities.
  • Ad hoc requests as required.
What You'll Need to Succeed
  • Excellent numeracy and accuracy skills as well as Communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and organise workloads and attention to detail.
  • Although no formal finance qualification is required, a desire to complete AAT or similar qualification with a view to moving onto CIMA/ACCA is required.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Must have a great eye for detail and have the ability to make decisions and challenge inconsistencies in the data.
