About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to work with children and young people in a residential care setting.

  • Provide high-quality support to residents, ensuring their safety, well-being, and emotional needs are met.
  • Foster a nurturing environment, promoting positive behaviours and emotional development.
  • Assist in implementing individual care plans tailored to each child or young person's specific needs.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive support.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop trusting relationships with residents, encouraging open communication and expression of feelings.
  • Support residents in developing life skills and promoting independence as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records of progress and incidents, adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in residential care or a similar role supporting children and young people.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and professionals.
