We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Swimming Teacher/Lifeguard to join our team at Kings Camps. As a Swimming Teacher/Lifeguard, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and safe swimming lessons to children aged 5-17, while also ensuring the overall safety and well-being of our campers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality swimming lessons to mixed ability groups, focusing on building water confidence and improving swimming techniques.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of campers at all times, supervising them during swimming sessions and activities.
- Participate in poolside activities, such as depth testing and risk assessments, to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all campers.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive and supportive team environment.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of swimming programs and activities that meet the needs of our campers.
Requirements:
- 12 months experience as a swim teacher.
- Up-to-date SEQ Level 2 or STA Level 2 certification.
- Current Lifeguard Qualification: National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or National Rescue Award to Swimming Teachers and Coach (NRASTC).
- Experience working with children aged 5-17.
- Demonstrated experience in coaching or mentoring younger individuals.
- Collaborative attitude and ability to form positive relationships with children and staff.
- Ability to design and deliver safe and engaging swimming sessions for mixed ability groups.
