Swimming Instructor

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Swimming Teacher/Lifeguard to join our team at Kings Camps. As a Swim Teacher/Lifeguard, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and safe swimming sessions to children aged 5-17, focusing on building water confidence and improving swimming techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality swimming sessions to mixed ability groups
• Ensure the welfare and safety of children at all times
• Supervise children during swimming sessions and lunch breaks
• Participate in swimming sessions, oversee safe use of equipment, and promptly record any incidents
• Collaborate with the Camp Manager and team to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for children

Requirements:

• 12 months experience as a swim teacher
• Up-to-date SEQ Level 2 or STA Level 2 certification
• Current Lifeguard Qualification: National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or National Rescue Award to Swimming Teachers and Coach (NRASTC)
• Experience working with 5-17-year-olds
• Demonstrated experience in coaching or mentoring younger individuals
• Collaborative attitude, comfortable with rotating duties, and forming positive relationships with children and staff
