The Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Learning & Development Partner to join our team. As a key member of our Learning & Development team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Learning & Development Manager to design, deliver, and implement training and development programs across our South and Mid Wales regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and advise on vocational qualifications, particularly within Health & Social Care (H&SC)
  2. Deliver a range of learning and development activities, including training on regulatory standards (SWA/RISCA)
  3. Develop and deliver courses, with an emphasis on hybrid training methods
  4. Monitor and evaluate L&D activities against organisational KPIs
  5. Provide leadership to L&D officers within the South and Mid Wales regions
  6. Collaborate with external training providers and deliver national training sessions

Person Specification:

We are looking for someone who is:

  1. Qualified to Level 4 in Learning and Development or equivalent
  2. Experienced in the Health & Social Care sector at a senior level
  3. Knowledgeable of the qualification and regulatory requirements for employees in social care (SCW and CIW standards)
  4. Skilled in developing and delivering training courses in H&SC
  5. Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  6. Comfortable with frequent travel across Wales, with occasional overnight stays

Desirable Qualifications:

We would also consider candidates with:

  1. Manual Handling and PBM trainer certifications (or willingness to achieve)
  2. Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management in H&SC
  3. The ability to speak Welsh or a willingness to learn within five years
