Job Title: Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Support Worker to join our team at a Secondary School in Lancaster. The successful candidate will have experience in supporting children with challenging behaviors and a passion for making a positive impact on their lives.

About the Role:

The Support Worker will be responsible for providing individualized support to pupils across the specialist provision, incorporating the use of senses into learning, and helping pupils to develop their speech, language, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils throughout the school day, providing individualized support and encouragement
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans
  • Incorporate the use of senses into learning, making lessons engaging and interactive
  • Help pupils to develop their speech, language, and communication skills, promoting independence and confidence
  • Consider the choices, needs, and wishes of each pupil, encouraging them to make informed decisions and take ownership of their learning

Requirements:

We are looking for an individual who is outgoing, resilient, and calm, with a passion for working with children and young people. The successful candidate will have experience in either the education sector or a related field, such as youth work, care, or sport coaching.
