About the Role

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mental Health Nurse to join our team in Leverndale Hospital. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our inpatient mental health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient care needs and develop and evaluate programs of care in partnership with patients, carers, and other professionals.
  • Carry out all relevant forms of care in line with agreed standards and clinical policies.
  • Take charge of the ward and supervise and teach junior staff, both qualified and unqualified.
  • Mentor nurses undergoing basic or post-basic training.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a live NMC UK pin and be able to work rotational day/night shifts, Monday to Sunday. You will also need to be able to practice within a legal and ethical framework as defined by the Nursing and Midwifery Council Code of Professional Conduct, national mental health-related legislation, and national and local policy, guidelines, and protocols.
