About Dovetail and Slate

We are seeking a highly skilled Carpentry Trainer to join our team. As an Apprentice Trainer, you will have the opportunity to share your expertise with others and help them develop their skills.

With no formal teaching qualifications required, this role is perfect for someone who is passionate about carpentry and wants to pass on their knowledge. Our ideal candidate will have a Level 3/Advanced Craft qualification in Carpentry or an equivalent qualification, as well as strong occupational competence and a relevant skill set in carpentry.

What We're Looking For:

  1. A proven track record of success in carpentry, with a Level 3/Advanced Craft qualification or equivalent.
  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with a variety of individuals.
  3. A willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check, demonstrating a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  4. A desire to pursue a teaching or assessing qualification within two years, with the support and training provided by Dovetail and Slate.
