Solicitor (Child Care) - Legal Services

We are currently working in partnership with a local authority to find a newly qualified Solicitor to join their team on a permanent basis.
This will be a full-time position based predominantly from home, with 1 day per week in the office in Oxford, and a salary of £41,496 to £44,539 per annum.
About the Role- Delivering high-quality legal advice and services to Directorates and Corporate Services
- Drafting documents and legal agreements to ensure policy is formulated and operational decisions are taken on a sound legal basis
- Carrying a caseload of legal work, largely unsupervised, within the Childcare department, and holding responsibility for completing all aspects of the task in accordance with good legal practice and client service specification
- Undertaking legal research and preparing appropriate advice on the results of such research, including advising the council on risk and mitigations
- Qualified Solicitor/Legal Executive
- Experience within local government is desirable
- Experience within Childcare & Family Law is essential
- Up to 32 days annual leave (+ bank holidays)
