Job Title: Community Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Community Mental Health Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Community Mental Health Team, you will provide effective care and specialist advice for individuals with complex mental health needs and their carers.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of individuals with severe and enduring mental health problems, providing care coordination and support.
  • Work collaboratively with other agencies to plan and assess programs of care, ensuring a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach.
  • Provide formal clinical supervision and caseload management supervision to junior staff, promoting professional development and excellence.
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each individual.
  • Engage with service users and their carers, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and understanding.
Requirements:
  • 1st Level Registration RMN/Registered Nurse (Mental Health)
  • Evidence of further post-registration education and training
  • ENB 998 or equivalent teaching and assessing qualification
  • Further training within the specialist area of Mental Health for the Older Person
  • Ability to demonstrate transferable skills if currently working in another setting
