We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Worker to join our team in Bedford. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing a supportive and nurturing environment for young people.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing emotional support and guidance to young people during challenging times
  • Fostering ambition and assisting young people in achieving their goals and maximising their potential
  • Offering support in educational pursuits and promoting positive relationships with education providers
  • Maintaining accurate records and preparing written reports for planning meetings and reviews
  • Empowering young people to actively participate in decision-making about their lives and future
  • Acting as an advocate in meetings where the young person is the subject of discussion
  • Encouraging community engagement and attending off-site activities to expand their personal social networks
  • Meeting the needs of children and young people, organising social activities and maintaining the home environment

Qualifications/Experience/Requirements:

  • Minimum age requirement: 21 years old
  • Full UK driving license preferable
  • No prior experience necessary, only a commitment and passion for working with young people
  • Attendance at a 2-week training program required
  • Must have availability for sleep-in shifts
