Children's Residential Care Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Worker to join our team in Bedford. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing a supportive and nurturing environment for young people.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing emotional support and guidance to young people during challenging times
- Fostering ambition and assisting young people in achieving their goals and maximising their potential
- Offering support in educational pursuits and promoting positive relationships with education providers
- Maintaining accurate records and preparing written reports for planning meetings and reviews
- Empowering young people to actively participate in decision-making about their lives and future
- Acting as an advocate in meetings where the young person is the subject of discussion
- Encouraging community engagement and attending off-site activities to expand their personal social networks
- Meeting the needs of children and young people, organising social activities and maintaining the home environment
Qualifications/Experience/Requirements:
- Minimum age requirement: 21 years old
- Full UK driving license preferable
- No prior experience necessary, only a commitment and passion for working with young people
- Attendance at a 2-week training program required
- Must have availability for sleep-in shifts
