Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Dining Services Supervisor to join our team at Chartwells. This is a part-time position, contracted to 18.75 hours per week.

About the Role

As a Dining Services Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring our kitchens and service counters run smoothly and efficiently. Your key responsibilities will include preparing delicious food to the highest standards, supervising our culinary and catering teams, communicating regularly with your line manager, and implementing and reviewing Health & Safety standards.

Your Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present high-quality meals that meet the expectations of our customers.
  • Supervise and train our culinary and catering teams to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Communicate effectively with your line manager to monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and targets.
  • Maintain a positive brand image by representing Compass Group UK&I at all times.
  • Liaise between customers and our culinary and service teams to ensure we continue to exceed expectations.
  • Implement and review Health & Safety standards to ensure compliance across all catering and service teams.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for an ambitious and motivated individual who is passionate about great-tasting food and exceptional customer service. You will need to have a minimum of two years of catering experience, experience managing teams in a similar role, and hold a Basic Food Hygiene certificate. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential for this role.
